January 2017 Events and Festivals in the Greater Pittsburgh AreaHappy New Year Everyone!

All of us on The Jim Dolanch Team hope your 2017 is off to a fantastic start. If one of your New Years Resolutions is to get out and explore the city more; or if you’re just looking for fun things to do with your family, friends, or date, then this blog is perfect for you! In this blog we’ll provide you with a mixture of events that are suitable for both your family and also just for adults (for a date night or night out with friends.) Again, we strive to be your number one resource with not only real estate, but also the entire Pittsburgh area!

  • What: Beer and Bites Pairing Event
  • Where: Ember & Vine Woodfire Oven & Social Bar

  • This event is a great idea for either a date night with your special somebody or a night out with friends. For $55 you can enjoy a six-course dinner by Executive Chef Sam Castrale and explore different beer pairings from Slippery Rock’s North County Brewing company.

 

  • Where: 54th Annual Beaver County Snow Shovel Riding Championship
  • When: Saturday, January 14, 2017 (weather permitting)

  • For the more athletic types, this is a unique event that’s sure to be tons of fun as well! Race from the top to the bottom of a hill that’s 160’! If the weather allows for this event to go on, you’re sure have great fun and meet some great people!

 

  • What: 22nd Annual Fire & Ice Festival

  • Bring the whole family to explore this fantastic annual festival that is sure to get you into the winter spirit ‘There’s no place like home” with a theme that’s Wizard of Oz. You’ll get to explore fantastic “ice sculptures, winter artisans food, and more!”

  • Get a cultural fix with your family, friends, or date with this free event! You’ll experience 14-square-blocks of arts, and entertainment including but not limited to: live music, theatrical performances, food trucks, and more!

 

  • What: An Evening With The Ghosts Of Pittsburgh
  • Where: Omni William Penn Hotel

  • When: Saturday, January 14, 2017 ~ January 28, 2017
  •             (Every Saturday at 7:30 PM)

  • For just $15 this combination of Pittsburgh’s scariest ghost stories combined with a spine-tingling photo presentation “will transport you to the haunted sites without ever leaving the building.” While the location is the Omni Hotel, you’ll get to take a “whirlwind virtual ghost tour through Western Pennyslvania’s most terrifying locations!”

  • Gather some friends and your hottest 80’s fashions and stop by Sienna Mercato! “Colorful cocktails” will be served while dancing to all of your favorite 80’s music. This is sure to be a fun event!
