The Market Square Farmers Market is Back!

Good news! The Market Square Farmers Market has returned to Downtown Pittsburgh for its 12th season!

Every Thursday between May 2 and October 27th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, residents, visitors, and downtown employees can enjoy this unique local event.

Interesting, charming, and filled with entertainment and opportunities, the downtown farmers market isn’t something to be missed!

Unique Goods & Produce

Whether you’re looking for farm-fresh fruits and veggies, bright and beautiful flowers, or merely a place to stroll on your lunch break, the Farmers Market is the place to be. Fresh produce and goods from over 30 vendors are featured each week, running the gauntlet from garden veggies to locally-made milk and cheese to fresh-squeezed juices, honey, and yarn. Prepared foods offer on-site dining, as well as unique and tasty treats.

Exciting Entertainment

With an average of between 7,000 and 10,000 visitors every day, the downtown farmers market offers a wealth of opportunities. Between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, live concerts feature performances from local bands, singers, musicians, and even opera vocalists. There are also themed events throughout the season, such as Christmas in July, Irish Day, Navy Week, and even a closing Halloween festivity.

Openings for Part-Time Sellers

Though all the full-time spots at the market are filled, part-time vendors are always welcome! Whether you’re an artist, a farmer, or a baker, the Farmers Market is a great way to get your product—and your name—out into the public eye. Many vendors are even featured in regional press for their outstanding products.
